Getting Started with Your Ledger Device

Follow these steps to set up your Ledger hardware wallet securely

1 Visit Ledger.com/start

Begin your journey by navigating to the official Ledger.com/start page. This is your central hub for all setup resources and the official Ledger Live App Download.

2 Download Ledger Live

Select the appropriate version of Ledger Live for your operating system. Ledger supports Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. The Ledger Live Desktop application is required for initial setup.

3 Install Ledger Live

Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. During installation, you'll create a strong password for your Ledger Live Login. This password encrypts your local data but does not protect your crypto assets.

4 Connect Your Device

5 Configure Your PIN

Set up a secure PIN code (4-8 digits) using the device buttons. This PIN protects physical access to your Ledger wallet. If someone enters an incorrect PIN three times, the device resets itself.

6 Write Down Recovery Phrase

Your device will generate a 24-word recovery phrase. Write these words in exact order on your recovery sheet. This phrase is the master key to your crypto assets. Never digitize it or share with anyone.

Send and Receive Crypto
